However, much recent interdisciplinary research indicates that we cannot know the complete story of cancer through genetic stories only; there is an unseen aspect - rooted in energy dynamics - that drives the actions, persistence and expansion of cancerous cells.</p> <p>This book introduces the Energy Imbalance Based Cancer Propagation Algorithm (EIBC-PA), a conceptual and computational framework inspired by the notion that energy, not just genes, governs the malignant transformation of cells. The metaphor of the “master thief” serves as a powerful lens through which cancer is reframed as an energetic disruptor—one that steals vitality from its microenvironment and reshapes the tissue landscape.</p> <p>Building on principles from systems biology, thermodynamics, and mathematical modeling, this work offers both a theoretical basis and algorithmic simulation for understanding how local energy imbalances can initiate cascading recruitment events that transform healthy tissue. Through simulation models, case studies, and clinical parallels, the algorithm explores cancer not as a static genetic anomaly but as an evolving, energy-driven system collapse.</p> <p>This volume is the second in the *Unveiling the Hidden Costs* series and aims to provide researchers, clinicians, and systems theorists with an alternative yet complementary pathway for interpreting early tumorigenesis. The aim of the study is to provide a systems-level framework grounded in energy dynamics to better understand cancer progression. The methodology involves defining gravitational and energetic thresholds within a hypothetical biological system and simulating the dynamic response to energy instability through algorithmic propagation rules. Key findings include the identification of localized energy singularities (ΔE) that act as catalysts for cascading oncogenic events, and the derivation of entropy-like thresholds that delineate metastability from malignancy. These findings suggest that cancer may be governed not solely by genetic mutation accumulation but also by systemic energy dissipation failures.
