Prof. Armando García Chiang

I am a Full Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Academic Unit where I teach Human Geography. I have with more than 15 years of experience working with vulnerable groups in Mexico. In the last 11 years I have been responsible for technical Social and Environmental Impact Assessment projects in oil blocks, pipelines and urban areas.

  • Comprehensive approach of the social corporate responsibility that includes practical application and teaching

  • In depth-experience in Environmental Impact Assessment (Mexico 2016-2020),
  • Practical experience with indigenous communities (1985-1995 and 1996-2002),
  • Sound experience in alternative rural production and commercialization (Mexico, 1991-1995, France 2005)
  • Practical experience in Human Rights issues (Comité de Defensa de la Libertad Indígena y Derechos Humanos – Chiapas Mexico, 1985-1995),
  • Appraise in the field of the sustainable development, design of methodologies of analysis, strategic planning.
