Dr. Wan Mazlina Md Saad

Following her PhD studies at the University of Manchester, on DNA repair proteins in modifying particulate air pollution induced toxicity, she works as a lecturer in Centre of Medical Technology, Universiti Teknologi MARA. She is a teaching undergraduate of Medical Laboratory Technology Year 1 and Year 3 and supervised Final year project. She has been published more than 20 papers and majority of the papers on fruits research. She has supervised 10 postgraduate students and majority of the grants obtained on fruits phytochemical characteristics and its health benefits. Her research interests include identification and characterization of fruits phytochemicals, the impact of fruits specifically watermelon on oxidative damage, fruits benefits in improving exercise and radioprotective effects of fruits phytochemicals. She has also been invited as panel in innovations competitions. She is an active member of Malaysian Biomedical Society and Malaysia Natural Product Society.
