
He is a Cum Laude graduate of Philippine Normal University with the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in General Science and an alumnus of De La Salle University Manila from Master’s up to Doctorate level with the degree Master of Arts in Teaching Major in General Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Science Education Major in Biology respectively. He is the former Chairperson and Faculty of Chemistry and Life Sciences Department, Researcher, Statistician and Laboratory Chairman of the Manila Doctors College (now Manila Tytana Colleges). He was a recipient of Sen. Angara and Sen. Roco Scholarships during his college years and a full scholar of DLSU-Manila in his graduate studies. He is likewise a Licensed Professional Teacher and a Civil Service Certified Eligible. Furthermore, he is active in both local and international conferences/conventions in science education as a paper presenter and as a participant. He has written several educational and scientific researches (both published and unpublished) and has developed modules, instructional materials, and books in physical and biological sciences for tertiary level and basic education. He has also published research-based book in Germany which focuses on alternative conceptions and conceptual change in biology education. In addition, he is an active member of various professional organizations and is connected with various universities as a teacher and as a research and statistics consultant. He completed his Post-Doctoral Course in Total Quality Management in Higher Education at Centro Escolar University Manila and was conferred as a Fellow in Royal Institution, Singapore.
