The analysis presented in this monograph is based on empirical data and relevant and current financial theories, such as personality theory, education level, financial knowledge, and financial management behavior, as well as financial technology as a mediating factor. We hope this monograph will provide theoretical benefits, such as a deeper understanding of financial decision-making, testing traditional economic assumptions, and developing more accurate financial models. Theoretical benefits include improving financial literacy, supporting personal financial decision-making, assisting companies and policymakers, developing better financial products and services, and supporting financial planning.
https://stm2.bookpi.org/DMGMIGP/article/view/1095 Determinants of Financial Management Behaviour among Generation Z and Millennial Women in Indonesia: A Gender and Generational Perspective 2026-03-21T06:40:27+00:00 Abdul Latif [email protected] Erna Apriani Ade Sri Mulyani Dr. Pupung Purnamasari
The development of digital technologies, social changes, and rapid economic dynamics has influenced individual financial management behaviour, particularly among Generation Z and Millennial women in Indonesia. The book Determinants of Financial Management Behaviour Among Generation Z and Millennial Women aims to examine the main factors that influence financial management behaviour among these two generations. The discussion focuses on internal and external determinants, such as financial literacy, financial attitudes, self-control, income, lifestyle, social environment influence, and the role of financial technology. Through a conceptual and empirical approach, this book explains how generational characteristics and differences in life stages influence women's financial decision-making. The results of the study show that the level of financial literacy and attitudes towards money play a significant role in shaping responsible financial management behaviour, while the influence of digitalisation and social media are strong differentiating factors between Generation Z and Millennials. This book is expected to contribute to the development of behavioural finance literature, serve as a reference for academics and practitioners, and form the basis for the formulation of more inclusive and gender-oriented financial education policies and programs in Indonesia.
2026-03-21T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Author(s).
