Prof. Akmal S. Gaballa
He was born on 1971, Egypt. He has studied Bachelor of Science (Chemistry), Zagazig University (1989-1993), Pre-Master Courses (Inorganic & Physical Chemistry), Zagazig University, Master Degree (Inorganic & Physical Chemistry), Zagazig University “Spectroscopic studies on the complexes of biuret with some transition metals” (1995-1998). He did PhD studentship (channel programme) between Zagazig and Martin-Luther Universities (Egypt and Germany, 2000-2003), PhD Degree (Inorganic Chemistry) "Synthesis, Spectroscopic and Structural Studies on Some New Charge-Transfer Complexes", Post Doc. Short-term Scholarship at Martin-Luther University, Halle-Wittenberg, Germany (DAAD, 2006) "Synthesis, Structure and Characterization of Platinum (II) and Platinum (IV) Complexes with Bioligands". He worked as Demonstrator at Atomic Energy Authority, Egypt, Teaching assistant of undergraduate Laboratory course of Inorganic and Biochemistry, Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University, Egypt, in Laboratory of Professor Dirk Steinborn, Germany (Synthesis, Characterization and Reactivity of Platinum Complexes with Bioactive Ligands). He is a full professor in chemistry since 2015, has published more than 80 articles in various national and international journals within his fields of research interest, namely: Coordination Chemistry, Bioinorganic and Medicinal Chemistry, Charge-Transfer Complexes, Platinum Complexes with Bioligands and Nutritional Chemistry. He is a referee and member in the editorial board of various journals. He has participated in more than 50 conferences and a member of many national and international Societies.
