Basics of Coordination Chemistry and Its Application

Complex compounds are a special type of creation by the natural universe and are quite different from our thinking of normal organic and inorganic compounds. Complex compounds were first realised and discovered by Alfred Warner in his rigorous experimental work in the laboratory, and it was a result of his deep thinking between theory and experiment. Their study comes in the field of inorganic chemistry with a very complex type of experiments, and these compounds have a very large number of applications in the field of inorganic chemistry, explaining several properties like colour, spectra, magnetic properties and medicinal and biological applications as well. The book starts with Chapter I, discussing “Brief Idea About Coordination Complexes”. Chapter II deals with “Bonding in Coordination Complexes”. Chapter III describes “Compounds, detection, isomerism, application and the stability of the coordination compounds and reactions”. Chapter IV deals with “Colour, Spectroscopy and Magnetic properties of complex compounds”. Chapter V says about “Brief idea about metal carbonyls, metal nitrosyls and Organometallics”. Lastly, Chapter VI is about “Application of Coordination Complexes in Bio-Inorganic Chemistry”.
en-USBasics of Coordination Chemistry and Its ApplicationBasics of Coordination Chemistry and Its Application

The whole work contains the basic theory and ideas of inorganic complex compounds with their prominent physicochemical properties. The work describes basic and necessary theories (VBT, CFT, MOT) of Inorganic complexes with tables and figures which elaborately describe preparation, synthesis, reaction, colour, spectra and magnetic properties as well as their broad use in the biological field. From chapters I to VI, the whole thing of theories and properties and broad applications of complex compounds is depicted in a new way in a simple and lucid manner.
Dr. Sourav Dey
