He is an Assistant Professor of Animal Husbandry at the Department of Animal Science at the Agricultural University of Athens. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Animal Science (2002) and a M.Sc. degree in Animal Production (2004). In his PhD (2007) and post doc research (2009), he focused on the study on molecular cloning and physiological role of ovine G6PD transcripts. At the past, he worked at posts of Greek Administration sector and private livestock sector (2008-2019). He is an author of over 45 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals, conference books, book chapters and press articles. His research interests are mainly focused on animal husbandry and farming systems, molecular physiology of productive traits, climate change and animal production, and social behavior and communication of farm animals.
